What is the G.E.T project?

The Google Earth Texture Project started out a year ago where I'd scour Google Earth capturing interesting landscapes and cool textures. Outside of being thoroughly enjoyable, I thought they could be useful for concept art, inspiration or at worst, nice desktop backgrounds.

50 images for each location: Australia, Egypt, North Africa & North America.

Note: As these are from Google Maps, you cannot use their map data for commercial work without attribution.
However the terms do include “…research, education and non-profit use without needing permission.”
